Please note that Brazilian customs is strictly
enforcing the correct entry of packing types into
the Siscomex cargo system.

General descriptions of packing
(such as pieces or packages) will no longer be
accepted. The specific packaging type, with material,
must be declared (such as a wooden box).
Furthermore, the NCM commodity code and weight
must be declared for each packaging type.

Non-compliance may result in significant fines by Brazilian
customs and will delay the release of cargo

Please note that as of September 4th,AES
has begun phasing out the use of the
Social Security Number as a valid ID for
filing AES. After a 60-day grace period,
US Customs will start enforcing the rule
on December 3rd. In place of the Social
Security number, US Customs will now
require an EIN (Employer Identification Number).
Individuals trying to export with a Social Security
Number will need to apply for an EIN number
with the US Internal Revenue Service before
an AES can be filed on their behalf.

Valid IDs for Foreign Nationals buying goods
in the US and exporting:
